The City of Yachats has been awarded another grant to help fund the Water Master Plan. The Oregon Infrastructure Finance Authority has given $20,000 to the City to help cover the costs of the Water Master Plan. Work began on the plan a few months ago. The Master Plan identifies infrastructure needs for the City’s water delivery system and water plan for twenty years into the future. These plans help the City set aside adequate capital reserves to pay for improvements so that you continue to get the best tap water on the Oregon coast.
This grant follows several others awarded this fiscal year, including:
- $30,000 for a Source Water Protection Plan
- $91,300 from the USDA for relocating City Hall to the 501 Building
- $100,000 from the ODOT Small Cities program to pave E 2nd Street
